Mirror Maze - Board game

We were given the opportunity to conduct an extensive user study in the area of experience design. To this end, we developed a board game over the course of two semesters that focuses on teaching colour theory. We focused on the RGB colour space and wanted to analyse which haptic elements and puzzles players could use in a physical game to understand the RGB colour space and use it interactively. In this research through design approach, we were able to create this prototype through iterations. We developed a game card system that guides the players through the flow of the game.

Different refractions, combinations of light beams or the targeted use of shadows are used to illuminate the crystals in order to solve the puzzles of the Mirror Maze.

We built the whole board game using 3D printing and the soldering of LEDs into the game figures.
