Noise - Immersive experience

With the noise project, we want to draw attention to noise pollution in our environment. Humans are causing an acoustic imbalance in nature. They pollute the marine ecosystem with their ship rotors, oil wells and sound cannons. Through the immersive virtual reality experience of noise, we want to demonstrate to people the impact this can have on the sea and its inhabitants. In this experience, the viewer steps into a glass sphere and is able to see and hear the impact of man-made noise in natural habitats. The project included the development of a complete immersive experience through 3D animations for virtual reality, the creation of a landing page prototype and an animated trailer for the experience, which you can see below.

Urban and rural areas often tend to increase noise pollution due to the ex-pansion of motorways, neighbouring airports, con-struction work or expansion of living spaces. For the noise project, we decided to focus on the marine habitat, as man-made noise is unknown to most people and the effects on marine life are dramatic.

In addition to the immersive VR experience, we created a landing page that guides people to noise's locations. They can also create their own noise profile and share it on their social media to create a general awareness of the problem of noise pollution and - if we can convince people - to optimise their behaviour to do something good for nature.

The ‘Noise Recap’ is a function that allows you to create an anonymous noise profile. The integrated artificial intelligence can create a personalised profile by asking various questions.
If you want, you can share the Noise Recap with your friends on social media.
